Come one, Come all to the GCM Plant and Bake Sale!
Saturday, May 22, 2021
Location - Southern Vermont Art Center Arkell Pavilion from 10 - 2
Springtime marks the new beginning. In Vermont the snow melts, sugaring begins, buds begin to appear, and the Garden Club members come out of winter hibernation!
One of our first projects to celebrate the new season is to prepare for our annual plant sale. This year marks the 33rd year of providing plants and herbs to the public. All perennials and house plants, and there are many, come from member gardens. Yes, that’s right, members dig up, divide and repot their treasured garden plants each spring to provide a huge assortment of horticultural delight! The list of what has been available includes iris, peony, coreopsis, coneflowers, bleeding heart, astilbe, hosta. delphinium, phlox, black eyed susan and many others.
Also available are books and other goodies related to gardening, indoors and out. Last time (2019) we included a bake sale and it was a huge hit, so it's back again this year. Lots of delicious goodies to choose from.
An added bonus, you can ask questions of any member, we LOVE to chat about our prized possessions!
Please join us on May 22nd, doors open at 10am! We are located at Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester. Checks, Cash or Credit Cards accepted. Hope to see you there!
Proceeds support our beautification efforts throughout the area.
