Rewarding Excellence

Our $4,000.00 2025 Scholarship recipient is Emma Grace Southworth of Stratton, VT.  While at BBA, Emma was a consistant Honor Roll student with intrests in mountain biking and  rock climbing. Emma plans to  attend the Community College of Vermont for two years earning her Associates degree in Environmental Science, then transferring to the University of Vermont to complete her Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology.  Congratulations Emma!

For more than 60 years The Garden Club has awarded scholarships to students in area schools pursuing an education in:

​

  • Agronomy

  • Agriculture Education

  • Floriculture

  • Horticulture

  • Landscape Design

  • Botany, Biology

  • Forestry

  • Wildlife Science

  • Plant Pathology/Science

  • City (Rural & Urban) Planning

  • Habitat or Forest/Systems Ecology

  • Environmental Concerns (Management: Environmental, Horticulture Resource/Environmental Behavior)

  • Environmental Conservation (inc. Engineering, etc.)

  • Land Management and/or other related or allied subjects.

​​Currently the criteria for the scholarship is a graduating high school senior enrolled in a college or university pursuing the above course of studies. Please see page 3 of our Scholarship Application for detailed scholarship criteria and important information.

 

The scholarship is awarded in June and paid after the student has successfully completed their first semester.  Along with your application please include letters of recommendation and school transcript.  We hope you consider applying!
